In the field of public sector labor law, our largest single client is the Police Conference of New York, Inc. (“PCNY”), a statewide union of police officers whose membership includes approximately 125 member local police labor unions. Jim Tuttle is a regular lecturer on legal issues affecting police officers at PCNY monthly meetings and at PCNY and other seminars. We also represent many local police labor unions including the Albany County DSPBA, the Warren County DSPBA, the Herkimer PBA, the Endicott PBA, the Town of Montgomery PBA, and many others in PERB proceedings, contract grievances, grievance arbitrations, Article 78 proceedings, declaratory judgment actions, negotiating collective bargaining agreements (dozens) and conducting interest arbitrations (many). We have represented hundreds of individual police officers in disciplinary proceedings, §207-c disputes, health insurance disputes (including health insurance in retirement), disability retirement hearings, and third-party lawsuits.
